Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Living Garments LLC (“Living Garments,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit livinggarments.shop or buy from us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.
By using our website, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The Short Version
- We collect what we need to take your order, ship it, and support you: your name, contact details, addresses, and order history.
- Payments are handled by our payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
- We use cookies and similar tools to run the store and understand how it is used.
- We send marketing emails or texts only if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information by emailing support@livinggarments.shop.
Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: what you give us, what our site collects automatically, and what our service providers pass along to complete your order.
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, email address, and phone number.
- Addresses: shipping and billing addresses.
- Order information: items purchased, order history, returns, and exchanges.
- Payment information: entered at checkout and sent directly to our payment processor. We receive only limited details, such as card brand, the last four digits, and billing ZIP code.
- Account details: your login credentials, if you create an account.
- Communications: messages, support requests, reviews, survey responses, and contest entries.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to or out of emails or texts.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, we and our service providers collect device and usage data through cookies and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, referring page, pages viewed, items added to your cart, and the date and time of your visit. We may also infer your approximate location (city or region) from your IP address.
Information from service providers
Our payment processors confirm whether a payment succeeded and may share fraud-risk signals. Shipping carriers share delivery status. If you use Shop Pay or a similar service, that provider may share the contact and shipping details you saved with it.
What we do not collect
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security or government ID numbers, health data, biometric data, or precise geolocation.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process payments, fulfill and ship orders, and handle returns and exchanges.
- Create and manage your account.
- Answer questions and provide customer support.
- Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and other service messages.
- Send marketing emails or texts, where you have opted in.
- Understand how the site is used, improve our products and store, and measure how well our marketing works.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We use your information only for these purposes or for closely related ones. If we want to use it for something materially different, we will tell you first and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers and parties below, and only as much as each needs to do its job. Our service providers are bound by contract to use your information only to provide services to us.
| Who | Why | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Hosts our store, checkout, accounts, and order management | Contact details, addresses, order data, device and usage data |
| Payment processors (such as Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, and PayPal) | Process payments and screen for fraud | Payment details, billing address, order total |
| Shipping carriers and delivery partners (such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx) | Deliver your order | Name, shipping address, and email or phone for delivery notices |
| Klaviyo (email and text marketing) | Send messages you opted in to | Name, email, phone number, marketing preferences |
| Google Analytics (Google) | Show us how the site is used | Device and usage data |
We may also disclose information:
- To comply with the law, a court order, or a valid government request.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Living Garments, our customers, or others, including to prevent fraud.
- In connection with a merger, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, in which case your information may be transferred to the new owner under the commitments in this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for two purposes:
- Essential: keep items in your cart, complete checkout, remember your session, and protect the site from fraud and abuse. The store cannot work without these.
- Analytics: understand which pages are visited and how people move through the store. We use Google Analytics for this.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the store may stop working. You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We do not currently run advertising or retargeting tools on the site. Where you use a browser or extension that sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for advertising, as required by applicable state law. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals, because there is no uniform standard for them.
Marketing Communications
We send marketing emails only to people who have signed up or opted in at checkout. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
If you opt in to text messages, you agree to receive recurring marketing texts from us at the number you provided. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase. We do not share mobile numbers or text-messaging opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing.
If you opt out of marketing, we will still send service messages about your orders and account.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy.
- Order and transaction records: kept as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes, typically up to seven years.
- Account information: kept until you ask us to delete your account.
- Marketing information: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep a minimal record of your opt-out so we honor it.
- Support messages: kept as long as needed to resolve your request and handle any follow-up.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you. Some information may remain in backups until those backups are overwritten.
How We Protect Your Information
Our store runs on Shopify, which encrypts data in transit and uses payment processors that meet PCI DSS standards. We never store your full card number. We limit access to personal information to people who need it to do their jobs.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed without authorization. Use a strong, unique password for your account, and contact us right away if you suspect unauthorized activity. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Your Privacy Rights
We are based in Colorado. Residents of Colorado, California, Virginia, and a growing number of other states have privacy rights under state law, such as the Colorado Privacy Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act. We offer the following rights to all U.S. customers, whether or not your state’s law requires it:
- Access: confirm whether we process your personal information and get a copy of it.
- Correction: fix information that is inaccurate.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to exceptions such as legal record-keeping.
- Portability: get your information in a portable format.
- Opt out: opt out of the sale of your personal information, targeted advertising, and profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell your personal information or use it for such profiling.
- No retaliation: we will not penalize you for using these rights.
How to make a request. Email support@livinggarments.shop with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us what you would like to do. We will ask for enough information to verify that you are the person the request concerns. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of their authority. We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we may extend that once by up to 45 days and will tell you why.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our response or emailing support@livinggarments.shop with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond in writing within the time applicable law requires, generally within 45 days. If you are still not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general. Colorado residents can contact the Colorado Attorney General, and Virginia residents can contact the Virginia Attorney General.
Marketing choices. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or reply STOP to any marketing text.
Children’s Privacy
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email support@livinggarments.shop and we will delete it.
International Visitors and Data Transfers
Living Garments is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored here. If you visit from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We process your information to perform our contract with you (fulfilling orders), for our legitimate interests (running and securing the store), to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent (marketing). To exercise your rights, email support@livinggarments.shop.
Changes to This Policy
This policy is effective as of October 30, 2026. We may update it from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will also notify you by email or with a notice on the site before they take effect.
